Aluminum foil is classified by surface state

Based on its surface state, aluminum foil can be classified as either one-side light aluminum foil or two-side light aluminum foil. It is important to note that these two types of aluminum foil have different properties and applications. One-side light aluminum foil is characterized by a shiny surface on one side and a matte surface on the other side. Meanwhile, two-side light aluminum foil has a shiny surface on both sides. When choosing the appropriate type of aluminum foil, it is necessary to consider the specific needs of the application.

One-sided aluminum foil, also known as single-sided aluminum foil, is created by double-rolling aluminum foil. The result is a foil that appears bright on one side and black on the other. Typically, the thickness of the bright side does not exceed 0.025mm.

Double-sided aluminum foil refers to single-rolled aluminum foil that has both sides in contact with the rolls. The two sides of this aluminum foil can be categorized as mirror two-sided aluminum foil or ordinary two-sided aluminum foil based on the varying surface roughness of the rolls. In general, the thickness of the two-sided light aluminum foil is not less than 0.01mm.
